Dear Rotarians,
Leading District 5020 has been an incredible journey. I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many remarkable Rotarians whose dedication and generosity continue to inspire me. Across our communities, I’ve witnessed countless hours poured into service—enriching cultures, strengthening connections, and uplifting lives.
Our clubs have hosted a wide array of successful fundraising events: Bottle Drops, Indoor Miniature Golf Tournaments, and multiple Golf Tournaments, each one a testament to the creativity and commitment of our members.
Rotarians truly embody “Service Above Self.” Whether it’s club presidents rallying members to donate $40 to PolioPlus in honor of a milestone birthday, or an Assistant Governor coordinating five clubs to contribute and secure a matching donor—your passion is unmistakable. Some clubs have redirected their monthly fines to support PolioPlus, while others are competing to enroll the most members in Rotary Direct, with a prize awaiting the winning club. These efforts reflect the heart of Rotary: collaborative, generous, and driven by purpose.
I’m also excited to announce the launch of my new blog, Rotary By Day: https://dg5020.blogspot.com. This platform will spotlight our district’s leadership, share stories from my travels, and celebrate the incredible work our members are doing locally and globally. Stay tuned—there’s much more to come.
As we move forward together, I invite each of you to keep your “Rotary Capes” on and your hearts open. The impact we make—one project, one donation, one handshake at a time—is shaping a legacy of service that transcends borders and generations. Thank you for your unwavering commitment. It’s an honor to serve alongside you.
With gratitude,
Tony Camoroda
District Governor, Rotary District 5020
