The new Rotary year is in full swing, and it’s been a true honor to visit so many of your clubs and see the incredible work you’re doing. The passion and dedication I’ve witnessed on my visits have been truly inspiring, and it’s a testament to the power of Rotarians working together to make a difference.
September is Basic Education and Literacy Month, a theme that is at the heart of what we do as Rotarians. The work our clubs do in this area is phenomenal, and I’m proud to see so many of you taking on this challenge in your communities.
I’ve seen firsthand the impact of your projects. Several of our clubs are making a tangible difference by sponsoring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, providing free books to children and fostering a love of reading from a young age. Other clubs are volunteering their time to read to students in local elementary and preschools, a simple act that has a profound effect on a child’s educational journey. These projects aren’t just about reading; they’re about opening doors to a brighter future for the next generation.
As we move forward, I encourage you to continue this essential work. Your efforts, no matter how big or small, are creating a ripple effect of positive change. Thank you for all that you do to make our communities—and the world—a better place.
