To my fellow awesome District 5020 Members,
With immense gratitude and admiration, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your unwavering commitment to service, generosity, and the mission of Rotary. Your dedication and philanthropic spirit have once again set an extraordinary example for Rotarians worldwide, placing District 5020 in an elite ranking of global impact.
The recently released Global Zone Contribution Summary Report for February 28, 2025, showcases the incredible influence of your contributions. As you may or may not know, District 5020 is one of 10 Districts that make up Zone 27 in the Rotary Family. Thanks to your generosity, Zone 27 remains the #1 ranked zone in the world for Polio Plus Contributions! Additionally, Zone 27 holds the #3 position globally for both Total Contributions and outright cash gifts to the Endowment Fund, reflecting our deep commitment to sustaining the future of Rotary’s humanitarian efforts. Furthermore, Zone 27 is currently ranked #5 in the world for the Annual Fund and holds the #3 global ranking for Annual Fund Per Capita, with an astounding $152.27 per member. These are not just numbers; they represent lives changed, communities uplifted, and a lasting legacy of hope and service that Rotarians achieve.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the collective strength demonstrated by District 5020 and our fellow districts within Zone 27. District 5020 is ranked #5 globally with an outstanding total contribution of $1,735,753—an incredible testament to your generosity and belief in Rotary’s mission.
Beyond this incredible achievement, our zone’s overall performance stands as a shining beacon of Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self. Five of our districts are ranked in the top 50 globally for Total Contributions, with District 5150 at #4, District 5020 at #5, District 5160 at #23, District 5190 at #32, and District 5110 at #39. Even more impressively, eight of our districts (57%) are among the top 50 districts worldwide for Annual Fund Per Capita contributions, demonstrating an extraordinary level of commitment from our members.
These accomplishments are not the work of a few but the result of the collective effort of every Rotarian in District 5020 who has embraced the power of giving. Each donation, large or small, has contributed to these remarkable outcomes, fueling projects that provide clean water, improve healthcare, enhance education, and, most importantly, move us closer to eradicating polio from the face of the earth.
Your generosity ensures that Rotary’s work continues, that lives are transformed, and that we leave a lasting imprint on future generations. You have shown that when Rotarians come together with a shared vision, there are no limits to what we can achieve. Your spirit of giving, your passion for service, and your belief in a better world inspires us all.
As we celebrate these milestones, let us remember that our journey is far from over. The needs of our world remain great, and our commitment to Rotary’s mission must continue to grow. I encourage each of you to share this success with your fellow Rotarians, your communities, and potential new members.
