Rotary District 5020 – July | Maternal and Child Health Month
Dear Rotarians,
It is with immense gratitude and excitement that I welcome each of you—our 4,000+ members across 88 incredible clubs—to a brand-new Rotary year. As I step into this role as District Governor, I am honored beyond words to be chosen to lead such a dynamic and compassionate group of people. Together, I believe we can take our district to the next level of impact, service, and fellowship.
As we embark on this journey together, July serves as an especially meaningful month—Rotary’s Maternal and Child Health Month. It reminds us that the heart of our mission lies not only in what we do but also in whom we serve. Every initiative, every dollar raised, and every act of kindness ripples outward into the lives of real families, mothers, and children who deserve a future filled with opportunity and care.
In District 5020, we have always embraced service that goes beyond borders and expectations. From remote health clinics to nutritional support, clean water initiatives to education access—your work matters. Let’s use this month to highlight, support, and expand the projects that empower mothers and nurture the next generation. Together, we can reduce suffering, elevate care, and transform lives.
This Rotary year, I invite you to engage more deeply with your clubs, your communities, and your fellow members. I encourage you to ask bold questions, spark new projects, and celebrate the magic that happens when Rotarians come together with purpose. Whether you’ve been a part of Rotary for decades or just joined our global family, there is space for your voice, your talents, and your dreams in this movement.
Let’s continue building a district where each club feels seen, supported, and inspired. I look forward to visiting many of you in the coming months, learning about your local work, and celebrating your unique contributions. Our diversity is our strength, and our shared commitment to Service Above Self binds us tightly together.
Here’s to a year of vision, growth, and joyful connection. I wish every one of you a meaningful and memorable Rotary experience.
With deep appreciation,
Tony Camoroda
