The Rotary Foundation - Overview

Overview of the Rotary Foundation in District 5020

The Rotary Foundation has two primary components:

Programs
and
Fund Development

In addition there are support functions to help those who would like assistance in participating in one of the Programs or help with Fund Development.
In order to better serve the local clubs, we have established a Foundation Area Representative. S/he is the local Rotarian who has volunteered to mentor local clubs and act as a resource to assist with questions on a one to one basis. A list of the Area Reps can be found on this site (http://www.rotary5020.org/foundation/reps.php).

Each Rotary Program has a District Foundation Sub Committee to carry out the actual work at the District level. They are:

Scholarships (Ambassadorial and World Peace)
Group Study Exchange (GSE)
Humanitarian Grants
Polio Plus

Our District has divided up the Fund Development activities as follows:

Annual Fund – promotes annual giving
Permanent Fund – promotes bequests
Development – promotes and solicits large bequests ands major donors

We also have support functions such as training and keeping track of Foundation Alumni - Rotarians and non-Rotarians who have participated in one or more of the Foundation’s programs.

This Foundation web site has been organized in the same fashion. If you have questions or can’t find what you are looking for, you are encouraged to seek answers directly from anyone in the District Foundation organization or at The Rotary Foundation in Evanston.
