The Rotary Foundation

The Annual Program Fund District Goal is $125 average per member or $650,000.

  • Sustaining members: 2000 in the district and each club strive for 100%
  • Paul Harris/Multiple: 450 in the district and each club strive for 5
  • Paul Harris Society Members: 150 in the district and each club strive for 2
  • Benefactors: 450 in the district and each club strive for 5
  • Bequest Member: 80 in the district and each club strive for 1
  • Major Donors: 50 in the district and each club strive for 1

The need for services supported by the Rotary Foundation continues to grow. It is important that Rotarian's provide additional financial support to the Annual Fund so the District can maintain its level of support for Matching Grants, Group Study Exchange and Educational projects in addition to wrapping up efforts to eliminate Polio in the world. Additionally, we now are using Rotary Foundation funding for use within our own District for Community Assistance Projects via District Simplified Grants. These are matching grants that encourage and assist our clubs with projects right here at home. Up to 20% of what is raised for the Annual Fund can be used for this purpose.

Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) is the slogan we use to emphasize Sustaining Memberships. Sustaining Members contribute $100 at a minimum every year to the Annual Fund to provide reliable source of Funding for Rotary's continuing programs including the relatively new "Rotary Centers for International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution”.

While the Annual Fund is the spending vehicle for current activities, keep in mind the Permanent Fund. The Permanent Fund is an endowment fund designed to provide additional support, from its earnings, to the Annual Fund. The Permanent Fund is designed to be the vehicle for receiving bequests and large donations from Rotarians, family and friends.

You are encouraged to participate in and promote The Rotary Foundation within your club so we can continue with the Foundation’s basic tenet of –
"DOING GOOD IN THE WORLD."
