The GSE program pairs Rotary districts to send and receive study teams. Since the first GSE exchange between districts in California and Japan in 1965, the program has provided educational experiences for about 25,000 business and professional men and women serving on about 5,800 teams, with $48 million having been allocated by the Rotary Foundation since 1965 for GSE grants.

This program has provided an enjoyable, practical and meaningful way to promote world understanding.

The District GSE Committee requests your assistance in recruiting applicants for our upcoming GSE tour.

Application deadline Aug 31/07

Team members must

  • be between the ages of 25 - 40

  • be committed to remaining in the work force well after the

  • be in the early stages of their careers or professions

  • reside in or be employed in District 5020 and also be citizens of the country in which they reside

  • be willing to study the language of the country being visited

  • be personable, articulate, cooperative, exemplary in their work and enthusiastic about their vocations

  • seek to gain a maximum educational value from the program

  • be able to fulfill the rigorous and active participation in an extensive itinerary

  • no relation to a Rotarian

All applications submitted to the District Committee by your club should first be endorsed by the club.
