ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION
GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE
DISTRICT 5020

The Group Study Exchange Program of the Rotary Foundation International is an educational program that promises international understanding through organized travel and personal contact. The program provides travel grants for teams of professional men and women between 25 and 40 to exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. For four to five weeks, team members study the host country’s institutions and ways of life, observe their own professions as practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.

The exchanges for 2005/2006 will be with Rotary District 9250, South Africa and District 3010, Northern India.

The GSE team to South Africa –April/May 2006 will consist of four non-Rotarian business or professional men and women between the ages of 25-40, and a Rotarian team leader. The South African team will be a ‘specialty’ team with an AIDS/HIV medical/educational/journalism focus.

The team to Northern India – January 2006 will also consist of four non-Rotarian members and a Rotarian leader – all professions are applicable for the India tour.
