Robert and Jan Martin
I graduated from Medical School in Oregon in 1968 and have been
a Board certified Dermatologist since 1973. In 1985, I married
Jan Atkinson, and she helped me finish raising two boys and a
daughter. We now have two grandchildren.
One of my patients invited me to a Rotary meeting in April 1977
and I was thrilled with what I saw and continue to be thrilled.
I have been a member of the Gig Harbor Club since 1983 and have
served three years as Secretary, President 1989-90, and bulletin
editor for 4 years. I served as Floyd Olson’s conference chair
in 1995. Serving as an AG for three years, opened my eyes to the
time and responsibility of the DG.
Jan and I are multiple Paul Harris Fellows and our children are
well on their way. We are also Benefactors. I am proud of
Rotary’s contributions to our communities and to the world, and
I am proud to be a Rotarian.
