Club Information - Instructions to access the RI Business Portal

Since July 1, 2001 Rotary International's web site has offered the "Member Access Portal".  The Portal offers a great deal of information for all Rotarians and provides direct access each clubs membership database on the RI server (President and Secretary only) in order to add, update, and terminate club members.  All Rotarians may register to access the portal.  Once registered you will be given a password then you'll be able to login.  Once logged in you can check your personal contributions to The Rotary Foundation, access special offers that RI has with their various partners (such as discounts on Dell computers), register online for various Rotary International meetings such as the 2005 Chicago conventions, and a variety of other things.  First, however, you need to register.  Here's how.

  1. In order to complete your registration to use the Member Access Portal you will need the following three pieces of information.  Obtain this information BEFORE you begin the registration process.

    1. Your Rotary Membership ID Number:  This number can be quickly located.  Just find the latest copy of your ROTARIAN MAGAZINE.  Look at the label.  Your membership number is the number in the upper left hand corner .  It is the single 5-8 digit number.  This is your membership number and it is also your Rotary Foundation Number. If that doesn't work contact your secretary.

    2. Your Rotary Club's ID (Charter) Number:  You can find out your clubs number here: http://directory.rotary5020.org/index2.php

    3. Your District Number:  This one is easy.  You are in District 5020.

  2. One you have the above information readily at hand, go to the Rotary International Web Site:   http://www.rotary.org

  3. Once you reach the RI web site, click on MEMBER ACCESS  (located in the upper right hand corner of the blue navigation bar along the top of the page)

  4. When the window opens, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the REGISTER NOW link.

  5. When the registration window opens, enter the three numbers you have at hand.

  6. When your information is confirmed, you will be asked to provide your email address.  Be very careful when you enter this address and check to make sure that you did not make a mistake.  Your password will be emailed to you by RI and if you do not enter your address correctly, you will not receive it.  Once you enter this, you will then be asked if you want to signup to receive email for Rotary International.  Some of it may interest you.  If so, just check the boxes for the email that you want to receive and then proceed to complete the registration process.

  7. Once completed, you will be logged off of the Member Access Portal.

  8. The password will be emailed immediately.  Open your email and check for incoming mail.  When the message arrives, note your password.

  9. Return to the RI Web Site Member Access Login Page:  https://riweb.rotaryintl.org/

  10. Now you can log in.  VERY IMPORTANT.  The first time you login your User Name will be the email address that you signed up with.  Enter your email and enter the password you were sent by RI.

  11. The first time you logon to the portal, you should change your User Name and Password so something that you will remember.  Be sure to write it down and put it someplace that you will remember so you won't lose it.  You can change your access information by clicking on the link iat the bottom of the page in the white portion of the window.
